1.) At what times in your life do you feel like God has won you over to his ways the most? Are you open to letting God WIN you in new ways at this time in your life?
2.) We all evangelize about different things. What types of things have you evangelized about in your life? Your phone...a vacation spot...a car...a handbag...shoes...a college?
P.S. - This week we are reading Chapter 6: A New Level of Thinking and The Epilogue - pages 189-216. Also, if you have any suggestions for our next book club book, please please let me know. I want to try to get a couple of books in the pipeline so that I can prep for it before the baby comes!
1.) I think that God has won me over to his ways most in opening my eyes to the importance of community in growing and learning more about my faith. Even though it might not be intentional on my community's part, God has brought me this community of people to hold me accountable to keep God at the center of my life and to work on growing my faith. I think that I am open to letting God WIN in new ways in that my season of life is changing such that I won't be able to participate in this community as regularly, so I will need God to help me find new ways of staying connected so that I can continue my faith journey.
ReplyDelete2.) I often evangelize about our Young Adult group to those young adults closest to me. I evangelize about to my engineering students about working hard so that they can make a difference in the world by becoming successful engineers. I evangelize about engineering in general to young students so that they don't discount the possibility of pursuing engineering in college.
