1.) I am definitely going to look at our budget and determine where we can cut back a little to incrementally increase our giving this year. I like Matthew Kelly's suggestion to just increase your giving a little at a time. It makes it a little less intimidating.
2.) I do think that I will be happier if I am a more generous person. I think what mostly holds me back is thinking that it will take more work/time than it actually does. Also, sometimes doing things for others that is unexpected, no matter how much I know that the other person will appreciate it, puts me outside my comfort zone. I'm not sure if it is because I don't want to be overly thanked or be outwardly recognized...
