Week Five: The Four Signs of a Dynamic Catholic - Chapter 5 ~ Evangelization - Discussion Questions - Set 1

Hi Fellow Dynamic Catholics in Training!

I must be honest and say that I haven't yet finished this chapter yet. From what I have read so far though, I'm really liking Kelly's very basic approach to evangelization. It's all about helping yourself and others become the best version of yourself and living a life of virtue. We have to determine ways that we can win others over with regards to faith, incrementally build their faith so that it is easy for people to do and then be sent out to continue the cycle.

Discussion Questions - Set 1

1.) If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?

2.) Did you watch the news with the Ten Commandments in front of you? What conclusions did you come to through this exercise?

  1. 1.) What a tough question...because there is so much wrong with this world that needs to be changed. I think on the most simple front, I would wish that everyone would be kind, respectful, and really just want the best for everyone they come in contact with.

2.) I didn't do this exercise, but when you think about it the Ten Commandments really are a set of common sense rules. They have a religious basis, but everyone regardless of religious beliefs should be striving to follow them, because they really are the keys to a better self and a better world. To really understand the essence of each Commandment though, you often have to go a bit deeper into each commandment to really understand what each means practically for each one of us on a daily basis. Father John Riccardo has a really great set of podcasts on this subject on his Christ is the Answer radio program.
