About Us

Young Adult Ministry at All Saints is created BY and FOR the young adult community of All Saints, Hayward and the surrounding area.

Our mission: To help and encourage one another through our spiritual journeys with fellowship, music, faith formation and service so that we may know, love, and serve Christ, and make Him better known in both the young adult and larger communities.

Who we are: We are between the ages of 21 and 40: a blend of singles, dating couples, married couples, soon-to-be parents, and parents of young children.  Our lives are constantly changing, and we are constantly moving. Yet in all the chaos and busyness of life, we recognize God as our true source of happiness and peace.  We seek to understand our Catholic heritage, while integrating our faith traditions into our daily lives.  We strive to establish authentic friendships as we say “Yes” to God, both as unique individuals and as a thriving young-adult community.

What we do: Recognizing the different needs, talents, and interests of the group, we are constantly in the process of providing new and different opportunities for those of us in the young adult community to develop friendships and grow spiritually.

Currently, we offer:

The Upper Room
Tuesdays at 7:30pm in the Upper Room of the Gym
We meet every Tuesday night for a group discussion meeting/potluck where we share food, faith, life experiences, and our working knowledge of the Catholic faith to deepen our own understanding of the faith and to strengthen, encourage, and support one another.
A summary of what was discussed each night can be found on our blog: http://allsaintshaywardyam.blogspot.com/

The Haven, coordinated by Amanda Vernon
3rd Friday of every month at 7:30pm in the Chapel
Soulful music. Thought-provoking message. Spiritual encounter.

All Saints Unplugged
Our very own Young Adult choir! Made up of individuals in their 20’s and 30’s, All Saints Unplugged leads the music at The Haven, participates in parish-wide intercultural liturgies, and certain Sundays at the 1pm Mass. Are you a singer, musician, or sound person? Contact us at thehaven2015@gmail.com to get involved!

ASYAM Book Club
For all those book-lovers out there, ASYAM has a book club where we read and discuss faith related books. This is a great way to learn more about the faith and how to apply it to your life.  Have something on your reading list that you have been wanting to read? Let us know and it could be our next book! Find out what we’re currently reading and join the discussion on our blog: http://allsaintshaywardyam.blogspot.com/
